Job description
About the role: • As an SDE-1, you will work closely with senior engineers and the product team to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services. • You will be involved in building new features, improving existing systems, fixing bugs, writing clean and maintainable code, and contributing to the overall engineering quality of Hireantra. • Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and maintainable software applications. • Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code. • Build and integrate REST APIs and backend services. • Work with databases and design efficient data models and queries. • Develop responsive and user-friendly web interfaces when required. • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues. • Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices. • Write unit tests and contribute to automated testing. • Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other developers. • Understand product requirements and convert them into technical solutions. • Optimize application performance and reliability. • Participate in deployment and production troubleshooting. • Learn new technologies and contribute to improving engineering processes. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. • 0–2 years of software development experience. • Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and data structures. • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, or Go. • Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP. • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases. • Familiarity with Git and version control. • Good debugging and problem-solving skills. • Understanding of object-oriented programming and software development principles. • Ability to write readable, maintainable, and testable code.
